About two years ago I figured out how to get a Christmas Cactus to bloom and it works for me every year. When autumn comes and the temperature drops to the sixties put your cactus outside. The cactus will bloom within three weeks. (The cactus blooms love temperature that is 50-60 degrees). It is so much fun! Merry Christmas!

kim is that the plant that you had by your dinning room table in chicago. I remember how excited you were when it bloomed the last time I was there at christmas time. Did Dad find all the quarters? Guess i should ask him.
I had no idea that the catus was yours. Did you get to keep it? Where is it? I finally got a chance to read your blog. Great job! Don't blame you for not going the coast route! Mere
Do they have those in Korea?
Kim- You have such a green thumb!! I am sooooo jealous. If I had one of those and I put it out in the cooler air, it would freeze and die!! Guaranteed! I have this plant called a peace lilly. It can be really pretty, it was when I got it. I researched all about it. Done everything I read to do. NOOO Lillys on it. Not a one. I guess I should be thankful it's still alive. I'm sure if you had it it would be thriving with beautiful lillies. Oh well. Love ya, Natalie
I remember your Christmas cactus, your orange tree, and your pots last summer. They were beautiful, and did so well under your care. I'm not much for live plants--too much work. Mine all look terribly neglected--which they are! Silk plants? Easy, but they get all dusty and look like plastic. I wonder what kind of plants you'll grow in Seoul?
I made a comment a few days ago and it didn't post! That's IT! I'm thinking about you and anxiously awaiting your first blog post from Korea! It was great seeing you. I love you and hope they have cool plants for you in Korea!
