Jr. Olympics

Susan Grace was chosen to be the torch bearer for the Jr. Olympics opening ceremony. I thought that sounded fun so I went over to the school to see her run the torch in. She ran around the school track with the Olympic theme booming through the loud speakers and the crowd cheering. It was so cool. It made me weepy. Way to go, Gracie!

Field Day

Each year the elementary school has a field day called Jr. Olympics. They have lots of fun relay races, swim races and track races. Each class represents a country. Susan Grace's class was Jamaica and Miriam's Canada. It's fun to feel the international spirit of the school and see all the children from around the world playing and having fun.

Cute Critters

My computer has been salvaged! I am going back and posting highlights that I am so thankful to have in my picture files. Here's Margaret at her magical 3rd birthday. She has an ice cream cake (our new birthday dessert favorite). On top of her cake are her "critters". Miriam and Margaret have a lovely collection of them. They are better known as Sylvanian Families. Miri has made a doll house out of a cardboard box. Her house is complete with wall paper and carpet. It is fun to see the two of them get so excited to play together.

Hanging In There

In Korea, there are outdoor "gyms" everywhere; at the playground, along hiking paths or along the rivers. Once when we were hiking in the mountain behind our home we came upon this gym. I was so impressed with the man hanging upside down (he's wearing the green coat and black pants).
I haven't tried this, yet.

Congratulations to Beth Hunt. She knew where every picture was taken in my last post, "May is Just Flying By". Way to go, Beth. You are a winner.

May is Just Flying By

May is flying by....for Jim that is. Since the first part of May, Jim has been to Beijing, New Delhi, Istanbul, Cairo and Boston. That's a lot of air time. Come home, Daddy.

Here's another chance at a prize: name the historic site in each picture to win.
