We arrived in Boston on August 14th. In the few shorts weeks that we have been here, we have enjoyed visiting many surrounding sites and landmarks. We have made the most of these last warm and sweet summer days.
We visited the Joseph Smith birthplace in Sharon Vermont.
We visited Waldon Pond and splashed around a little. There were some pretty serious swimmers that inspired us to test the waters and see if we could get our heart rates up. Boy am I out of shape!
Lexington and Concord have some really great places to visit. Anna's favorite was definitely the Louisa May Alcott Home. She won the hoop races and found a talent for theatrics. My favorite place is Wilson Farm. Especially right now that the harvest is on. All of the veggies, flowers, berries are all so beautiful.
We took a tour of the Freedom Trail. It took us to some really great historical sites. Obviously the children's favorite was this great symbol of the Democrat Party.
For Labor Day Weekend, we went to Wingearsheek Beach. We searched for sand dollars (found a few and lost a bunch), got chased in by the tide, and got a little sunburned while the seagulls vied for our lunch. We had a great time.
It has been a very intense summer. We have made some fabulous memories and survived some pretty crazy changes. School starts Thursday with all of its adventures. Love to all.
